Common questions
How do I restore my purchases?
Open the app, go to Settings, then Account, and choose Restore purchases. Use the same Apple ID you bought with. If you have an account, sign in first.
How do I cancel Plus?
Plus is billed by Apple. On your iPhone open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Hereabouts. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Deleting your data does not cancel a subscription.
Can I get a refund?
Apple handles refunds for purchases made in the app. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. For gifts bought on this website, write to us with the email you used at checkout.
My sign-in email has not arrived
Check your spam folder and wait a minute or two. Links expire after 15 minutes and work once, so request a new one from the account page if needed. If it still fails, write to us.
My gift code does not work
Codes work once and expire 12 months after purchase. Enter the whole code; dashes and spacing do not matter. A device is locked for an hour after five wrong tries. If the code was refunded it is cancelled. Otherwise, write to us with the code.
How do I see or delete my data?
In the app, go to Settings, then Account. Or sign in on the account page to export everything as JSON, export trips as GPX, or delete your account. See the privacy policy.
Can I use it while driving?
Use voice and the physical buttons only, and let a passenger work the screen. Hereabouts is not a navigation tool and does not warn you of hazards. Obey the road rules. See the driving and safety terms.
